Compressed Air Dryer – Refrigeration Type

It is best to ensure that compressed air is dry and clean before it is used in any pneumatic process. Moisture is always present in the compressed air along with dust particles, oil (oils particles are introduced by lubricated air compressors) and solid contaminants which can adversely affect air quality. If the compressed air is not dry there will be corrosion in compressed air pipe line, pneumatic tools and Systems which will lead to their malfunctioning. The only positive means of moisture removal is the installation of Compressed Air Dryers. In most cases Refrigeration Dryer are suitable where application require ADP upto -20°C (-4°F). Refrigeration Dryers are low in first cost, operating cost and energy consumption, making them the most cost effective solution for drying for general instrumentation and controls.

Refrigeration Dryer operates on the method of cooling the air near to freezing point to remove the moisture and reheating it to approximately 10°C below the incoming compressed air temperature at nominal conditions.It is designed for just the right quality of air at the most economical costs. It has wide instrumentation air where requirement is between 3°C PDP to 6°C PDP. It use less energy and hence low operating cost.
