Bekum celebrates three anniversaries on a new facility
The Bekum group recently celebrated three anniversaries – 60 years Bekum in Berlin Germany, 50 years Bekum in Traismauer Austria und 40 years Bekum in Williamston, USA. As part of the celebrations at the American location, the groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of production capacities was made on November 26, 2019. A new building with a pro duction area of 3,700 m2 and almost 700 m2 of office space will be added. This increases the site’s operational area to more than 15,000 m2.
Michael Mehnert, Managing Partner, who traveled from Germany for this celebration, comments proudly: “My father founded this com
pany sixty years ago. Today I’m standing here and laying the foundation for a new production hall in order to be able to serve the continuously increasing demand in the USA in the future!”

Bekum America was established in 1979 with the mission to introduce top quality blow molding machinery, designed to produce plastic bottles, containers and other large plastic parts in the North American market- place, via blending German design and technology with American skill and ingenuity. Bekum’s customer base includes large multinational customers, as well as owner/ operator plastic bottle manufacturers.
