Chennai tech-players to share stage with global technology brands at Automotive Engineering Show 2019

Automotive Engineering Show, India’s leading exhibition focused on automotive manufacturing technologies, will be underway next week, from 04 – 06 July 2019. Hosting over 100 exhibitors, the exhibition will showcase technologies for industrial automation, robotics, 3D printing, rapid prototyping, additive manufacturing, measuring and testing, power tools, software over the three days.

The business event is expected to witness the presence of Chief Guest Thiru M C Sampath – Minister for Industries along with Thiru N. Muruganandam – Principal Secretary, Department Of Industries Government Of Tamil Nadu who have confirmed to inaugurate the event and address auto industry stakeholders.

While product introductions and live demos have been lined up by market leaders such as – Baumer India, Bharat Forge, Carl Zeiss, DesignTech Systems, Festo India, Nikon India, Olympus, Pepperl + Fuchs, Schmersal India, Staubli Tec, Sick India, Tal Manufacturing, Wipro 3D; a host of companies from Chennai will be sharing stage with these technology leaders at the show. This includes Roots Industries India Ltd, Elmack Engineering Services, Sunil Precision India Pvt Ltd, Monotech Systems Ltd, Precise 3d Metrology and Design Solution Pvt Ltd, Sealtech, AMRL Hitech City Ltd among others.

Thiru N. Muruganandam – Principal Secretary, Department Of Industries Government Of Tamil Nadu shared: “The endeavour is to make the state a leader in transformative technologies in the automobile sector, particularly in the context of the introduction of electric vehicles. Towards this end, the government is taking several proactive measures to attract more investments in the automobile component and general engineering sectors. I believe that Automotive Engineering Trade Show will complement the efforts of the State Government in promoting the auto sector.”

Additionally, workshops and conferences have been lined up over the three days of the fair. Organised in association with the Council for Robotics & Automation (AICRA) and Wipro, the sessions will cover key themes of Industry 4.0 and additive manufacturing and will open the forum for auto manufacturing stakeholders to connect and collaborate with right technology partners.

Automotive Engineering Show, now in its 12th edition is held biennially in Chennai and is organised by Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India. With Chennai being one of the country’s  largest automotive and auto component manufacturing hub, the purpose is to encourage the development of advanced automation and manufacturing technologies that can foster growth and India’s competitiveness on the global platform.
