Most of the products that we deal with are from the leading manufacturers in the field. Hence, they all have dedicated R&D departments to constantly enhance the product offerings keeping the global trends in mind.

Q. What is the latest trends related to your industry?

Electrical product distribution is going through a paradigm shift due to GST, e-Way bill, Aadhaar and CIBIL.

Below are some of the changes expected:

  • Number of retailers, dealers, distributors etc. will come down by 5-10% every year for the next 8-10 years till only about 20-30% of the existing companies remain.
  • Manufacturers as well as End Customers are beginning to value larger distributors who are service oriented rather than being only price driven.
  • Rise of fintech’s, credit bureaus, Public Credit Registry, trade credit insurance etc. will change the way ‘Credit’ is looked at in the future.
  • eCommerce, machine learning, artificial intelligence, robots and driverless vehicles are a near distant threat which will forever disrupt the way this industry operates.

Q. How your products are in line with latest technology?

Most of the products that we deal with are from the leading manufacturers in the field. Hence, they all have dedicated R&D departments to constantly enhance the product offerings keeping the global trends in mind.
Internet of Things (IoT), Energy Management and 3D Printing are becoming the disrupters for the manufacturers of various electric products.

Q. What is your vision for next year to be ahead of competition?

Truthfully, we try to be focused on the customer rather than the competition.

Hence keeping the above-mentioned disruptive changes in mind, below are our areas of focus for coming year and the near future:

  • Become stronger in the geographical areas we are weak in.
  • Increase the range of products being offered through partnerships with existing dealers / distributors.
  • Constantly find ways and means to reduce the cost of transactions and operations.
  • Cash is King and we should not do anything that may dramatically hamper our cashflows.

As long as we are able to focus on all the above and maintain prudence, there is no reason why we should not be able to constantly fulfill our vision of Leadership in Distribution – Always!
