Industrial plants are required to maintain an efficient process of Continuous Source Emissions Monitoring from various gas emission sources like Boiler, Furnace, Power Plant Stack, Chimney, etc.

In order to indicate that their processes are effective, the Continuous Emission Monitoring System is installed to measure the pollutant emissions levels and meet the required criteria.

To achieve effective and authentic emission data monitoring, the emission monitoring systems are required to meet the international performance criteria.

There are carefully drafted EN Standards for assuring the high-quality performance of permanently installed automated monitoring systems (AMS/CEMS).

PRIMA’s Testing Laboratory is in line with guidelines published by CPCB in the August 2018 for Continuous Emission Monitoring System, article of Dr. C. Sharma, Sr. Principal Scientist, NPL in the publications of NPL, The Gazette of India, August 2019 for developing testing facility at NPL for DIN EN 15267-3 standard in India.

In 2018, PRIMA had taken the initial step towards the process of developing in-house testing facility in reference to the DIN EN 15267-3 (part of QAL-1) standard.  Competent team of engineers, laboratory facilities, and software algorithms were developed in reference to the standard and various the tests defined in it, such as Response Time, Repeatability Deviation for Zero & Span points, Linearity, Influence test against Ambient Temperature, Sample Gas Flow, Voltage Variation, Cross Sensitivity to different gases test.

To effectively perform the tests, the laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, advance testing instrumentation and skilled manpower.

PRIMA’s Testing Laboratory facility will support Indian and Asian manufacturers of CEMS equipment to get tested in India to meet international standard of performance testing. Will also help Indian manufacturer to develop equipment suitable for India tropical conditions rather than getting tested in US and Europe. This testing facilities will help India’s manufacturers to develop their own product certification facility.

PRIMA’s Testing Laboratory facility will benefit Industries to establish Air Pollution monitoring facilities as reasonable capital expenditure and contribute for Greener India.

Further, this affects the quality and reliability of measurements by the instrument operation, in the long run, necessitating the establishment of a certification process of air pollution monitoring equipment, based on Indian environmental and operational conditions.

In current scenario, the industries are not aware of Testing facility developed by PRIMA for AMS/CEMS testing & most of the instruments are usually imported from abroad that come with certifications from agencies like that TUV/MCERT etc.

PRIMA’s Testing Laboratory will help Indian Industries and manufacturers to benefit from the certified testing and calibration, as measured values are certified to an international standard. Test reports, calibration certificates and thus the measured values are internationally accepted. Furthermore, they are traceable to SI units up to a national or international standard or measurement standard due to an unbroken measuring chain. PRIMA’s Testing Laboratory is available for any National, International laboratories, CPCB, SPCB and equipment manufacturer to avail the performance testing of AMS/CEMS to DIN EN15267-3 (QAL-1) of EN 14181 standard.
