Q. You are a name to reckon with in the field of welding. Could you brief us on your standing and niche?

As you know we feel pleasure to let you know that Mehta Cad Cam had introduced fiber laser welding machine first time in India long back, during these days we have already installed more than 50 units of hand-held fiber laser welding machine in different parts of India and with different applications.

We at Mehta Cad Cam provides quick service support every time and counsel customer in detail so that they can take right decision to buy our fiber laser welding equipments.

We strongly believe fiber laser welding technology is needed in many applications particularly where aesthetic look matters and have almost no scope of subsequent grinding welding area.

Also welding on aluminum to aluminum or aluminum to other material is done very nicely with fiber laser technology. Mehta Cad Cam have supplied fiber laser welding equipment in three arrangements;
a. with robotics solutions
b. with 3-4 axis systems
c. and with hand held gun

Q. What’s your range of manufacture today and what’s the differentiated offer you make to the customer?

Mehta Cad Cam has major four verticals of production line; fiber laser, CNC, Co2 laser and digital printers. We do have complete solution to cut, to mark, to engrave and to weld almost any kind of material available in the world along with huge range of digital printers.

Mehta Cad Cam maintain 22 branch offices across all India since last 20 years. The intention is to provide quick sales and service support of our equipment throughout country. Along with this, Mehta Cad Cam is always innovative in developing laser, CNC and Digital Printer’s technologies.

Mehta Cad Cam understand current and future needs of the customer and try to develop all those new equipments as fast as possible such that Indian manufactures remain capable to compete quality wise and capacity wise in international mark.

Q. Please throw some light on your manufacturing facilities.

We are pleased to inform you that we have four manufacturing units at Kathwada GIDC industrial area at Ahmedabad and to cope up with increasing demand we are preparing for two more facilities for mass production of Mehta’s machines. We follow SIGMA standard, ISO standard, etc. to make world class products with strong quality control system.

Q. You do you instill quality in your products?

We don’t compromise in the quality of key components and always use branded and genuine key components from across the world. Our R&D center are always very active to take or to shift Mehta’s products to one level to another level.

Q. Who are your major customers?

As far as our engineering products like fiber laser metal cutting machines, fiber laser marking machine, fiber laser welding machine and fiber laser engraving machine. We try to focus every area wherever it is possible as example we are biggest supplier in all government institute, government R&D institutes, manufacturer of different types of machines, job shop people, export in different countries, etc.

Q. What are the attributes that make your customers come to you again and again?

Authentic counselling with customer before they take the final decision to buy the machines. As customer may not have enough knowledge about the complete range of product line, their advantages and disadvantages, we strongly follow the counselling with the customer and understand their precise need of particular product and suggest them best according to their requirement. As we focus more on this counselling, customer get the right machine which they can utilize to full capacity supporting the growth of their business. Of course, our quick service system is above all, reducing equipment downtime to minimum.

Q. What are the latest trends in welding akin to your business, and how do you keep in step with them?

There are lots of development time to time in fiber laser welding machine with different wattages to satisfy the need of welding of different metals in different thickness. Those who were not happy with the disadvantage of traditional welding system like MIG, TIG, Argon; they are coming to us and we see smiles on their faces when their old burning issues get resolve with the performance of Mehta’s fiber laser welding machine.

We are not focusing on any other welding technology then fiber laser welding technology.

Q. What are your growth strategies?

Introducing new and advance related equipments in laser and CNC technology time to time, doing R&D on existing equipments for adding more features, more stability, more lite and creating more and more awareness of all these new developments through different medias like social medias, print advertisements, other offline and online medias, etc.

Also, we are focusing on increasing manufacturing facilities for mass production to cope up with the increasing demand.

Q. How do you look at the future of welding in India vis-à-vis that of your organization?

It is very fortunate for customers who need fiber laser welding equipments that the price is getting down and down day by day. More and more people are buying fiber laser welding equipments because of its affordable price. We are very much confident that fiber laser welding will not just develop new applications and new field but also will take over some percentage of MIG, TIG, etc. welding method’s and that will also keep growing.

So, we truly see very bright future for all fiber laser cutting, fiber laser welding and fiber laser marking machines.
