EMCO bags order worth Rs. 458 Crores from PGCIL for 800 KV HVDC transmission lines

EMCO Limited, one of the leading Indian electrical goods manufacturing company and an End to End Solution Provider in Power Transmission and Distribution Sector, has bagged a prestigious order worth Rs. 458 Crores from M/s. Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) for execution of 800 KV HVDC Transmission Line Tower Package TW-05 from Champa to Kurukshetra.

This is part of the prestigious 800 KV HVDC overhead transmission line network to be laid from Champa pooling Station, Chhattisgarh to Kurukshetra, Haryana. It is designed to carry 6000 MW power from Power Generating Stations in Chhattisgarh to Northern Grid.

EMCO has successfully commissioned more than 500 kms 765 / 400 KV Transmission Lines in the current financial year for PGCIL. EMCO has bagged this project after surpassing a stringent qualification requirement from the client and against very stiff competition. The orders also involve supply of galvanized steel towers from the company’s facility located at Asoj, Gujarat.
