As far as the Manufacturing Industry in general is concerned, I expect the Govt. to continue their push and support for ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. A slew of benefits for investing in Industry, and subsidy schemes for Capital expenditure encouragement are the need of the hour.
A hard look at putting in place certain higher tariffs especially for the “dumping” going on from certain countries.
There is an expectation of some sort of labour reform to make us more competitive as a manufacturing nation.
At an overall economy level, increasing the minimum threshold for taxable income would be a welcome move as well as simplifying and reducing the number of different slabs.
