SB 5500 automatic grinding wheel balancer control

The SB-5500 control from SBS takes balancing grinding machines to a new level of accuracy (0.02 microns), speed (300 to 30,000 RPM) and convenience for various applications: contact or non contact, spindle or flange type, hydrokompenser or mechanical weights. With its all-digital electronic design, compact size and larger high resolution detachable colour display, the SB-5500 provides unsurpassed accuracy (up to 0.02micron), speed (300-30,000rpm) and flexibility (four-channel capability).

The SB-5500 is easy to install and easy to use, can upgrade the old SB-2500,SB-4500 & SCHMITT HOFMANN HK 5000 controls .It can also be used for GAP & CRASH control by insertion of additional AE card . The system is elegantly simple: a computer control, sensor, spindle mounting adapter, and balance head. It is designed as an inexpensive, permanent installation on grinding machines. Fully automatic operation means one no longer needs to pre-balance grinding wheels, and eliminates the need for awkward equipment, which only does part of the job. Systems are available to fit machines with wheel diameters from (6” to 48”/150 mm to 1200 mm). Following CNC interfacing options: Ethernet TCP/IP, USB 2.0, Profibus DP, CNC/PLC hardwire Interface (opto-isolated outputs) It is available as a retrofit package or as an option from most machine builders
