We also launched the YRC1000 micro small-sized robot controller and the MOTOMAN-HC10 collaborative robot, which can be installed without a safety barrier and makes teaching easy.

Q. what is your marketing strategy for India?

Innovative Product & Best in Service (24 hour available for customer for online & offline) support is the key strategy. Yaskawa believes in providing the best solution to its customer. Yaskawa provides 24 Hr hot line support to its customer and known for best services which made us to stand out in this fluctuating Indian market.

Indian industry is always ready to accept and acquire new technologies, new business ideas and automation in industrial and allied sectors. The advent of advanced technology is opening newer channels for Major OEM & SME businesses across several sectors. Yaskawa technology and innovation is playing a pivotal role in the growth and development of SMEs in India. The presence of unconventional technological platforms is bringing on board a rising number of small players in the Indian market.

Q. Product innovation through R&D is vital to be a leader in the competition, as per your opinion, how does R&D plays the role of catalyst in the success process?

Yaskawa over 175 + robotic variants shows the Greatest achievement through our R& D Team. Yaskawa product always ahead with respect to their competitor because of our global R & D Division. “Mechatronics”, the concept of merging “Mechanism” and “Electronics” – Yaskawa Electric Corporation led the world in putting forward the term “mechatronics”, now widely used around the world. This concept evolved when we combined our customers’ machinery with Yaskawa’ s electronic products to create superior quality and function. Nowadays, the mechatronics technology which improves performance by applying electronics to machine control is widely used for automation and efficiency improvement in various industries.

Q. Quality standards are benchmarked by the product performance; please brief us how do you maintain the quality norms since from solution development to implementation?

Being a manufacturer and supplier of technology products we very well know how important role our instruments play in different processes, hence we control the quality of our products from their inception to delivery.
Yaskawa Quality Practices Kaizen: Quality through continuous improvement, TQM – Total Quality Management, Certified Vendor Program, Product Certification Process, Also Yaskawa Known for quality standard there are few Yaskawa standards which become international standards based on Yaskawa’ s initiative & product Performance.

Q. According you what are the factors affecting to your business?

Currently Indian Manufacturing Industry are looking for high-tech modern automation solutions, existing customers who are facing sluggish demands are requesting us to provide low cost solutions.

To understand the possibilities and application of robotics in the supply chain, we must consider a few key areas that are helping to drive an increase in robotic installations:

  • Technological Advancements
  • Cost Elements
  • Evolving Market Demands
  • Facility Modernization Initiatives

The factors listed above, among others, are helping to drive growth in the acceptance and increased implementations of robotics in the manufacturing supply chain. The technology element should be clear, we continue to generate innovative ways of doing things, which results in a continuous state of change. This effect is creating new applications of robotics and increasing the viability and performance of robotics within existing applications. Robotics technology improvement applies not just to the mechanical (robot) component, but also the underlying software and systems required to operate robotics. Furthermore, the connected nature of robotics lends it to enhancement through big data and analytics. As robotics solutions continue to evolve, the applicability and acceptance of robotics will continue to increase as well.
Even though it is not a reason to worry but it is putting lot of pressure on bottom lines of all competitor and Automation partners.

Q. What are the key technological trends that are driving the industry?

For over 100 years now, our products and solutions have been supporting automation in a wide variety of industrial processes including mining, mechanical engineering and toolmaking, as well as the automotive, packaging, wood processing, lift, textile and semiconductor industries.

Currently IOT (Industry 4.0), Collaborative robot & Ultra Small & Heavy payload robot driving the new industry domain in robotic market, with the understanding of market Yaskawa moved one step ahead from Motoman Cockpit to Yaskawa cockpit where not only robot but all industry product can be connected with the use of IOT on the platform of Yaskawa.

Also world smallest industrial Robot Motomini whose total weight 7 kg with the payload capacity of 0.5kg making the new business segment for assembly & handling application.

Yaskawa’ s sophisticated technologies that had been built up over a long period of history have been embodied in the form of various products and are making great contributions to the society. Those technologies/products were established through steady efforts of our predecessors though the process up to the present day was not an easy one.

Q. How do you perceive the future of the industry?

The industrial robotics market is expected to grow from USD 38.11 billion in 2016 to USD 71.72 billion by 2023, at a CAGR of 9.60% during the forecast period. The increase in investments for automation in various industries, such as automotive; electrical and electronics; and metals and machinery, and the growing demand for industrial robots from small and medium-scale enterprises in developing countries are the key factors driving the market.
