ISGEC’s 200T Mechanical Press – An engineering marvel

Persistent efforts by ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd. are resulting in winning the trust of quality and safety conscious European stampers. . “We now have references in Germany, France, Spain, Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania for a variety of presses,” says Mr. Vivek Nigam, Senior Vice President, ISGEC, speaking about the company’s thrust in exports.

Recently, ISGEC developed and successfully commissioned 200T High Speed Mechanical Presses for a prestigious customer for their plants in Mexico and China. Highly delighted with the performance of the supplied presses, the company has received repeat orders for three(3) more 200T High Speed Presses.

Each 200T Mechanical Press is equipped with a Coil Line feeding aluminium strip, 2 mm thick and 300 mm wide. The Press is capable of running at 200 spm with a stroke length of 80 mm. The Press is equipped with a dynamic balancing system, supplemented by a stiff guiding system to take care of duty conditions. High rigidity and precision results in quality stamped parts, lower component rejection and improved Die life. These types of presses provide a cost-effective stamping solution to electronics, telecommunication, lamination and automotive industry. Compliance with European directives and EN692 enabling CE marking helps users in adopting the equipment in their existing stringent safety environment.

The composition of the Press with the Coil Line is as follows:

• 200T Mechanical Press has a bed size of 1800 mm x 1200 mm; stroke length of 80 mm and speed of 45-200 spm.
• Coil Line with coil weight of 1500 kgs comprises dual mandrel Decoiler; Compact Straightener-cum-Feeder; Lubrication unit, Finished part belt conveyor and Scrap conveyor.

All in all the Press is an engineering marvel. This Line is a testimony to ISGEC’s capability to cater to the requirements of such sophisticated Presses in the European market.- indeed carrying the ‘Made in India’ label.
