Don’t let anyone tell you that you are not enough
Q. Could you tell us something about your professional achievements and career progression?
When I started working. Fresh from College with zero knowledge about how the real world works. I started small from only observing for a couple of months.
Understanding how a business woks. I spent days in each department learning what are they respon-sible for and how they work and coordinate with other departments and then slowly i found out their pain areas and what the y lack. and then coming up with ideas and suggestions and systems on how to eliminate wastage of time and resource. Today I am in the process of developing systems for increasing productivity and while reducing the time.
Q. What are the attributes that helped you to reach where you are in your career?
The attributes that helped me are
- Being Humble no matter what you have many degrees you have or how smart you are you can always learn from the other person.
- Always ask questions. Keep asking till you are not clear in your head.
- Hard-work – There is no substitute for that.
- Listening – When you really listen without judging or forming opinions you will exactly know where the opposite person is coming form. It’s a great tool during negotiations.
Q. How can women entrepreneurs broaden their horizons and become inspiring leaders of tomorrow?
- Find out where your passion lies. Work hard towards it. Always keep learning. Keep reading, it will widen your thinking and broadens your mind.
- Have a vision and make Specific Measurable goals to achieve that vision and keep working towards achieving those goals. I know it’s easier said than done. But every little step is taking you towards victory. If you Feel stuck up ask for help. When you give 100% you get 100%, You give 50% you will get 50% so give your best.
Q. In both essential and digital functions, women suffered the repercus-sions of the economic and social effects of the pandemic. Your com-ments?
Set backs are part and parcel of life. Instead of thinking of it as a failure. Look at it as an opportunity. Reflect where you are in journey of life. Is it exactly where you had dreamt off. If it is then what next and If not can, can it be changed? Is it possible to change or not. If not, then what needs to be done to make that change in future.
6. What’s the message you want to send to young working women?
I would like to tell all the young women. you do not need to know everything in life. Its okay to make mistakes and start fresh. Don’t let anyone tell you that you are not enough. There is no age bar on when you can start your career. Your goals can always change. Keep finding things that make you happy. Always make some time for your-self and do not forget to have some fun with your friends.
