Q. Please brief us about company’s infrastructure & achievements?
First of all thank you for this opportunity to talk to you. It is indeed my pleasure to inform you that Schuler enters its 175th year in 2014. 175 Schuler moments are at the heart of the anniversary year. Various moments from the past, the present, and the future will provide a diverse and entertaining backdrop for the entire anniversary year. Well, this is just to begin the conversation between us on a good information regarding Company’s infrastructure and achievements.

Schuler has been the technology leader in the field of Metal Forming. Innovation and development of new products as well as processes is the key for Schuler’s achievement for the past 175 years. The company employs today over 5,500 people and is represented by its own facilities and sales offices in forty nations around the world

Q. What are the latest initiatives executed by your company in metal forming space? Which are your focus areas?
As a matter of fact, there a quite a few, most important of them all being the Technology & Innovative development of products for “Light weight” for the Automotive industry. Another major innovation has been the Laser Blanking Line with Dynamic Flow Technology. Yet, another is the High Speed Press line with ServoDirect Technology. So, there are a number of new initiatives executed by the company.

Q. What are the market opportunities for SCHULER products in India? How do you plan to position these products?
India for Schuler Group is strategically a very important market amongst other emerging countries. Schuler has been operating in India since 1994 with the wholly owned subsidiary. They have been active in India in almost all the key segments such as Automotive, Power sector for the large Electric motor manufacturer, Forging industry, and also into the Minting as a specialized field.

Q. What is your marketing strategy for India? Demonstrate
Well, the most important factor for Schuler is to remain present, active and look for the business opportunities within this interesting Indian market. We will do this by introducing, presenting and demonstrating to the potential customer the new developments and latest innovations in the field of Metalforming. Most importantly, we can indicate the advantages it offers to achieve international quality parameters and manufacturing efficiencies to remain globally competitive. Over and above, we can also provide to the existing customers the most valued after sales services.

Q. What is the role of R&D activity? What are the measures that are being taken from the product manufacturing to distribution?
Schuler has always emphasized in the R & D activities. For several years we have proven that new developments in the products and processes is the only way to continue the leadership it has attained in the field. Hence, Schuler shall continue to do so even in future and the management remains committed to this aspect.

Q. Brief us about the quality policy for your business?
Well, Schuler as a very strong brand in the field of metal forming stands as the “Quality Product”. So, this remains too as the most significant symbol synonymous to the brand Schuler itself.

Q. What is your vision for your company in near future?
Schuler has almost doubled their turnover in the last 3 to 4 years and improved significantly the financial health of the company. Schuler must consolidate further and aim to improve the same in the coming years.
