TECHNO PRODUCTS Development Pvt Ltd is an ISO 9001-2000 certified company established in the year 1999 to provide products & services to industries for all power transmission requirements, like Geared motors, Gear boxes / Reducers, Variable Frequency Drives etc. We cater to varied industries namely Power, Cement, Sugar, Steel, Material Handling, Windmill,etc……..
From a modest beginning of a few thousands, the company now boasts of an annual turnover of more than Rs. 200 Mn. Techno Products is currently one of the leading service providers of Transmission Solutions, mainly in South India. The company is ably led by Mr. Murali Srinivasan, a Mechanical Engineer by qualification, with over 22 years experience in the gear industry.
Techno Products has an ambitious agent for growth. The company now plans to induct experienced, Technically Qualified Engineers to tap the Burgeoning Industrial Growth. Plans are also on the anvil to add further products like Pumps, speed increaser gear boxes, and other Transmission Equipments to enhance the product pipeline.
With Industrial growth in India making rapid progress, Techno Products foresees itself to be in the front of Transmission Equipment Suppliers. Techno Products is tied-up with pioneers in the industry like Siemens, IC-Bauer, Rossi, Danfoss, Nord Drive systems, MGM-VARVEL, Lenze, Hindustan Motor Mfg, Crompton Greaves, Marathon,TGT & Esco Gear Couplings. Techno Products is fully geared up to meet the competition foreseen by the entry of MNCs and other Indian players into the market.
Q.Brief us about company’s global reach & what are the global alliances that has been made in order to out front the competition?
We are complete solution providers in Power Transmission products through our well trained Electro Mechanical Engineers which resulted in considerable success in India, as customers always seek complete solutions, than simple product selling. Almost all our MNC Principals have now established their manufacturing plants in India, thus minimising our imports.
Also, we have liaison agents located worldwide and we are able to generate enquiries through them apart from registering with all trade links. We have planned different marketing strategies to develop our presence in the industry, like participating in the Industrial Engineering Expo, PR & Media, Promotional activities like Vendors’ meet, as well as frequent training for our Engineers with our Principals.
Q. What are the market prospects of your company products in India & How do you plan to position these products?
The Indian market always has opportunities for all companies who have a clear business plan, giving priority to the quality of their products & services. All our customers always welcome & encourage our products well backed-up by our after sales-service competence. All our Service Engineers are well trained in the respective products & can extend technical support to our customers. We have introduced a 24×7 service network thereby any service call will be attended in the shortest possible time. Also, we provide hands-on training to all our OEM customers in order to attend to any teething problems. We also have a modern fabrication facility to assemble our motors, couplings & gear boxes.
Our products are the “best in class”, available anywhere in the world, offered with competitive prices. We provide industrial product needs to various industries like Paper, Printing, Packaging, Electronics, Textile, Wood, Metal & Steel, Sugar & Cement factories, Material handling, Automobiles & even Food Processing industries.
Q. Can you brief us about the marketing strategies that were applied in order to stand our in the competition?
In-spite of being in distribution network, we too provide customized solutions which keep us engaged with customer always & yield best results. We keep the required fast moving products in stock in order to make our customer minimize their inventory and the same can be offerd off-the-shelf. We are have agreements with all our OEM customers, and depending on the volume; the prices will be kept valid for 6 months to 1 year, which saves time & communication for our customers. This also helps us plan our stocks with our principals. We also carry out Energy Audit in the end-user market & we suggest them to replace or go in for VFDs to save energy. We extend our guarantee period even up to 3 years for certain project orders. Coupled with this, our after sales service, the commitment to our users & the trust they have on us differentiates us from the many in this field.
Q. Please brief about the company’s infrastructure & what are the measures that are being taken from the product manufacturing to distribution?
We have 2 separate units – one for Manufacturing/Assembling of all our Gear units & another for distribution. Our Engineers are well trained by our Principal, and are competent to assemble all the Power Transmission units and also provide after sales service support. We have appointed free-lancers in all the key metros to meet emergency service calls. We also have Sub dealers across the countries, who can serve our customers on time with better understanding. We too have reliable logistics network to follow up and ensure delivery to our customers on time.
Q. Brief us about the R&D and Quality policy of your business?
We regularly update our Quality control measures & strictly follow ISO norms. All our Principals adhere to international ISO Standards, possess their own R&D facility and are developing new technologies & policies. We being partners, enjoy the benefits of the same.
Q. How far the factors like government norms, excise duty, taxation, exim policies are affecting your business?
Government norms, excise duty, taxation, exim policies are statutory requirements and if you consider the developments for the past few years, you would find the Government is trying to help the business and industrialists by simplifying the norms and therefore one should take pride in complying with these norms. However, simpler norms like GST should be immediately implemented. Unified approach from both Central & State authorities will ensure inclusive growth.
