Q. How did the Automation industry perform in 2014?
At PC|SCHEMATIC, we have definitely had increased activity in 2014, and the industry has been very interested in our software, so it has been a very positive and active year.

Q. What is the future technological trend of the industry?
More advanced solutions must be developed, and more customer segments will need to purchase electrical CAD software, just to stay in business. Wages will increase, production time in the industry must constantly be reduced to keep up with competitors, and the market will mature in such a way that hiring more employees is no longer the solution. High-end electrical CAD software, such as PC|SCHEMATIC Automation, will become even more crucial to stay in business.

Q. Which initiatives has your company taken recently?
It’s important for professionals to create electrical documentation following international standards for instance when exporting machines to other countries. Therefore, we recently updated our bestselling handbook “Electrical documentation according to standards”, which makes this very easy for professionals. In 2015 we introduce a PC|SCHEMATIC Panenelrouter software for faster production and mounting of panels.

Q. What will be the future of the industry?
Standards and effective workflows. As the market becomes more mature and open to following the international standards, the market will find that PC|SCHEMATIC Automation is the best product for doing this easily – as it is also the best product for easily setting up individual company standards, in order to work as competently and effectively as possible.
