Consumables for Critical Nuclear Fabrication
Ador Welding has a total commitment to quality. The product ranges are manufactured in the state-of-the- art production facilities, all of which are ISO certified. The consumable range has more than 150 national and Inter-national approvals. This ensures the reliability, reproducibility and traceability that are most essential in the nuclear industry.
Nuclear energy has the potential to produce unlimited electrical power without any green house gas emission. It has the potential to be the perfect choice to solve the need for enormous electrical energy. But this potential is coupled with a number of safety concerns.
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has formulated a set of standards to address these concerns. Specifically, ASME Section III details the requirements of “Safety Related Components” in nuclear power plants.
Weldments in vessels and components for nuclear power generation must be of especially high quality due to the complexity and criticality of this demanding service. In the nuclear field, safety, reliability and long term operating life are mandatory.
Welding knowledge, a wide spectrum of consumables and equipment, coupled with application support make Ador Welding a wise choice for nuclear sector.
Quality Management System
Ador Welding has a total commitment to quality. The product ranges are manufactured in the state-of-the- art production facilities, all of which are ISO certified. The consumable range has more than 150 national and Inter-national approvals. This ensures the reliability, reproducibility and traceability that are most essential in the nuclear industry.
The quality Assurance management systems meet the highest levels of international nuclear codes and standards such as: RCC-M, ASME III, NCA 3800 and KTA 1408.
The product range of Ador Welding for nuclear industry is developed in accordance with the RCCM code, ASME III 3800 or KTA 1408. These specialized welding consumables have very low level of impurity elements (very high level of weld metal purity) and consistently low levels of cobalt.
The resources allocated for materials identification and control depend upon the consequences of a component failure that would result from using incorrect materials.
For example, nuclear applications require several confirming metallurgical and laboratory tests for each lot number. This requirement is met consistently for each batch of supply from Ador Welding.
