New brochure on surface technology shows in Germany and around the world

When it comes to surface technology, Deutsche Messe has the topic fully covered, with a strong triad of global tradeshow brands: SurfaceTechnology, O&S and parts2clean. To support these brands, Deutsche Messe has now published a brochure that focuses on the tie-ins and crossover potential between these events, thus highlighting the resulting synergy benefits for exhibitors. Titled “Surface Technology Events Worldwide,” the comprehensive 23-page publication profiles each trade fair, explains the unique characteristics of each of the markets involved, and outlines the various participation options available to exhibitors.

“Our worldwide surface technology network allows us to add value well beyond the benefits associated with individual shows. It means we are a global strategic partner to our exhibitors,” said Olaf Daebler, Deutsche Messe’s director in charge of Surface Technology, O&S and parts2clean. “We help our customers enter and develop new growth markets and we provide them with the same high standards of service wherever they choose to exhibit around the world.”

Over the years, Deutsche Messe has built up a strong portfolio of core surface technology events in Germany which it leverages in establishing successful offshoots at other locations around the world. The first of these core events is SurfaceTechnology, which is held every two years as part of HANNOVER MESSE. It is an all-encompassing event that showcases surface technology in all its multi-disciplinary forms. And, being part of the world’s leading industrial technology trade fair, it offers its exhibitors a wide range of additional benefits. These include the fact that HANNOVER MESSE is the world’s No. 1 forum for dialogue on topical issues confronting industry, and that it attracts a highly international audience of trade visitors and generates vast in-show synergies among its many participating industries. Exhibitors and visitors at the SurfaceTechnology show thus enjoy strong synergies with allied showcases in the areas of compressed air and vacuum technology, research and development, energy and automation technology. SurfaceTechnology is held in the odd-numbered years and will next feature at HANNOVER MESSE 2017.

The O&S fair in Stuttgart, Germany, likewise spans the entire surface technology process chain. The respected international trade fair for surface treatments and coatings is staged by Deutsche Messe at the Stuttgart Exhibition Center and runs in the even-numbered years. So between them, O&S and SurfaceTechnology provide annual coverage of the latest surface technology innovations and developments. The next O&S runs from 31 May to 2 June 2016. It will be the second time that O&S has been staged alongside parts2clean, the third surface technology brand in Deutsche Messe’s trade fair portfolio.

parts2clean has been a leading international dialogue hub and showcase for industrial-parts and surface cleaning for over ten years. Users from all industries attend the show to find the right solutions for their individual pretreatment and cleaning requirements. It is held annually at the Stuttgart trade fair center. The most recent show ran from 9 to 11 June 2015. When parts2clean and O&S are co-staged next year, visitors will be able to attend both shows with a single admission ticket.

Outside Germany, Deutsche Messe operates surface technology shows in India, Turkey and, very soon, also in the U.S. Surface Technology INDIA gives surface technology providers direct access to the burgeoning Indian market. It is part of the World of Industry (WIN) INDIA trade show cluster, which also features the Industrial Automation INDIA, MDA INDIA and CeMAT INDIA shows. WIN INDIA, which next runs from 9 to 11 December 2015, ranks among the subcontinent’s most important industrial technology shows.

Surface Treatment EURASIA is Turkey’s leading surface technology show. As part of the WIN trade fair in Istanbul (11 to 14 February 2016), it is co-staged with Metalworking EURASIA and Welding EURASIA. Next year marks the premiere of Surface Technology NORTH AMERICA. The fair, which runs from 12 to 17 September 2016, will be based in Chicago, where it will be staged as part of IMTS, one of the world’s biggest manufacturing technology shows, which also features MDA NORTH AMERICA, ComVac NORTH AMERICA, Industrial Automation NORTH AMERICA and Industrial Supply NORTH AMERICA.
