Ms. Divya Jain, Founder & CEO, Safeducate has been felicitated by Economic Times. She has been honored by ET for her invaluable contribution in supply chain & logistics education. The award ceremony took place at Hotel Leela, Mumbai. The prestigious trophy was handed over to her by Honorable Minister of State for Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, Mr. Babul Supriyo.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Ms. Divya Jain said, “I am absolutely thrilled to receive this honor. This award will motivate me to work even more passionately in the field of supply chain & logistics education.”
Ms Divya Jain added “Supply chain & logistics industry is the backbone of the Indian economy. India’s logistics industry is poised for an accelerated growth. With India becoming the global manufacturing hub, it needs to radically improve its supply chain in order to best utilize the various opportunities in the national and international markets.”
She elaborated, “Supply chain & logistics industry is one of the largest employment generators in the country. However, there is a big mismatch when it comes to availability of quality manpower in this industry. Since it is a people-intensive industry, therefore availability of quality manpower is extremely vital for the success of this industry. Also, big data in logistics will help predict supply chain demand that could uplift the last-mile connectivity.”
Ms. Divya Jain remarked, “Safeducate has been working towards bridging the huge skill gaps present in the Indian supply chain & logistics industry. Given the industry domain knowledge that we possess, it is imperative that we do our bit for the industry, by way of imparting quality education, which has a right balance of theoretical and practical training in the various supply chain & logistics functions.”
Ms. Jain concluded by announcing that, “We are also in the process of tying up with various premier educational institutes to create specialized MBA programs in supply chain & logistics. Our initiative will help in creating trained professionals, which in turn would help to overcome the challenge of scarcity of skilled manpower in the supply chain arena and this would help in boosting the growth of industry.”
