Q. Please brief us about company’s global reach & latest initiatives?
KUSAM-MECO has been the pioneer in India for introducing Digital Test and Measuring Instruments in India. Digital Multimeter and Clampmeter were introduced way back in 1986. At that time most of the Multimeters and Clampmeters used were analog instruments. By introducing Digital Instruments, KUSAM-MECO changed the Senario of Test and Measuring Instruments in India.

As time went by, KUSAM-MECO also updated with the time and has introduced new products keeping the Indian customer updated with the latest technology, by introducing the products from World class manufacturer of the world. The products include Insulation Resistance Testers, Earth Resistance Meters, Environmental Test instruments, High Voltage Detectors, Transducers, Transmitters, Distance meters etc.

Q. What are the market opportunities for your company’s products in India? How do you plan to position these products?
Being one of the largest companies in the field of Test and Measuring Instruments in India, our products are required by each and every industry. They are also widely used in other sectors such as Defence, Tele-Communication, Electric-Utilities, Railways, Cement Plant etc. As such the market opportunities are very vast. We cater to the requirement of almost every industry.

Q. What is your marketing strategy for India?
We distribute our products through a vast network of distributors all over India. Apart from that, we also conduct seminars for our customers to upgrade their knowledge in different parts of the country.We participate in Exhibitions.

In addition to the above we have a full-fleged service centre equipped with qualified and experienced engineers and necessary instruments, so as to provide satisfactory services to the customer. Our Company is the only company in India to have ISO certificate for Sales and Service.

Q. Is there any plans for expansion & new investment in India to cater the demand of the industry?
Yes, we are investing heavily in new and larger premises and upgrading our testing facilities so that we can give better service to our customers.

Q. What is the top line product range & Is there any plans to launch new products?
Our top line product range consists of “UL approved Digital Multimeters and Clampmeter” which have surge protection upto 12 KV. Industrial accidents are very expensive and to avoid such accidents industry must use only high Safety UL approved instruments.

Many industries have realised that it is cheaper to buy good quality and high safety Multimeter and Clampmeter than pay heavily for compensation to workers in the event of an accident.

Q. What are the key technological trends that are driving the industry?
New technologies are aiming at providing more functions and features within the same size of the instrument made earlier. This leads to saving of cost due to the need of lesser number of instrument for more measuring function.
