Q. Please brief us about company’s Indian & global infrastructure?
The Geissel Group has two manufacturing facilities. The headquarters, based in Germany as well as our 100% Indian daughter based in Pune. Originally founded in 1920 from my great-grandfather we settled in India in 1994 – already 20 years ago. With over additional 20 country representations worldwide including own storage we supply our customers with our product ranges of precision turned parts, cable glands, conduits and accessories. As a manufacturer with a strong know-how of more than 90 years in processing all kinds of metal and plastics we also serve our customers with special-purpose solutions.
Q. Please also highlight the latest initiatives in your industry domain?
Lately we developed a totally new IP 68 double compression cable gland for the Indian and Middle East market. Easy to use, economically and equipped with the highest standards. With our experience in extreme climatic areas we serve customers from Siberia to hot and sandy conditions. Already in the 1970s we have been one of the head suppliers for cable glands for the newly built airport in Riyadh and presently we are part of the chosen international suppliers for the Makkah Kab’ba Project 2020.
Q. What are the market opportunities for your company’s products in India?
As a company with years of experience in India as well as high quality cable glands and accessories we understand the needs of our Indian customers and try to strengthen our shares in the market. We want to be a long-term and strategic partner for our customers and want to grow with them.
Q. What is future prospect for your industry?
For us it is important to serve our customers punctually from our fully-automated finished parts warehouse. Presently for example we are involved in projects with special requirements for electromagnetic compatibility as well as stainless steel projects for the oil and gas, chemical or food-processing industry.
Q. Is there any plans for expansion & new investment in terms of product development or new technology adoption to cater the demand of the industry?
Along with the input of our sales staff worldwide and together with our German development centre we are monitoring the market very closely and invest in machinery, manpower and new products on a regular basis.
Q. What is the top line product range & Is there any plans to launch new products?
In India our top line products are definitely our cable glands along with all our accessories, our conduits as well as our customized solutions. The principle that “Our customers’ success is ours as well” guides our working and thinking to this day. We expect a lot of ourselves, and are never satisfied with resting on our laurels. That’s another reason why we go from strength to strength, we continue our logical development, we continue to search for new, even better, more efficient solutions. And we find them.
Q. What is your vision for your company?
Together with our customers we want to offer a highly technical quality range of cable glands and accessories to a cost-effective price, available from stock all over India. That’s the reason we are building up a network of Geissel-experts who can help our customers with their special requirements.
