Q. Can you please elaborate on each type of thermoplastic tubing?

We supply various kinds of thermoplastic tubing such as:

Global leadership in motion & control technologies, Parker-Legris India

Polyurethane:

PU offers excellent flexibility and outstanding use in a wide range of applications allowing upto 50% space reduction when compared to semi-rigid PA.

Polyamide:

Tried-and-tested for industrial and vehicle applications, PA tube guarantees excellent durability due to its stable long-term mechanical properties.

Polyamide 12:

Our polyamide 12 tubing offers chemical and mechanical performance as per DIN 74324 and DIN 73778. The tubing with major applications in air-brake and fuel line systems in vehicles is widely used owing to its high vibration absorption and abrasion resistance.

Anti-spark PU/PA tube with PVC sheath:

Our range of flame and spark resistant PU/ PA tubing has superior resistance to impact, abrasion and weld spatter.

PE tubing:

We offer “Advanced PE” 50% reticulated and Lowdensity PE. Our range of Advanced PE is designed for demanding environments especially that of water treatment and purifiers.

Hytrel Air-Brake Tubing:

Hytrel-thermoplastic polyester elastomer has superior mechanical and physical properties. The material is being readily used as a substitute to Polyamide-12 as per ISO 7628:2010 and is fast gaining international acceptance for use in air-brake circuits in heavy vehicles.
Other than these we also have FEP, PFA, Anti-static PU, Multi-tubing, PVC braided and recoiled hoses in our range.

Q. How do you see the future for the fluid power market in India and for Parker-Legris?

A. The Fluid power industry in India is currently growing as much as by 20% (Fluid Power Society India) due to robust growth in manufacturing, construction, automation and other sectors. We have witnessed a growth of nearly 40% between FY 18-FY19 due to upsurge in piping projects and are confident of maintaining an average growth rate of 30-35% in the coming years.

Our thermoplastic tubing business itself grew by nearly 30% in the previous financial year. Factors that contributed to growth were focus on quality, delivery and service. We are looking to further boost growth by expanding our tubing product range and by continuing to innovate and focus on our core strengths.
