HARTING at the IAA: Proven Plug Socket Power
Rising demand for E-Mobility solutions
HARTING Automotive will present its newest products and solutions at this year’s International Motor Show (IAA), taking place in Frankfurt between 17 and 27 September. The company develops and manufactures charging equipment for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Customers can use the equipment as it fits their requirements best, since the HARTING vehicle charging cables are available in all three globally used plug system versions (with the corresponding approvals) for the common AC charging interfaces.
Therefore, the Type 1 plug is approved for AC in accordance with UL, CE and JET/PSE, and the Type 2 plug is also approved for AC in accordance with UL/VDE. The HARTING GB China plug fulfils the CQC standard. Overall the E-Mobility sector is becoming increasingly important for HARTING Automotive, as the company is experiencing a sharp increase in demand for solutions in this field.
HARTING will also be presenting concrete solutions for charging in household plug sockets at its trade fair stand (Hall 3.1, Stand A 15), including a plug with a quick temperature sensor. This sensor provides the customer with extra safety. The electronic Mode 2 charging system offers additional safety features with PE monitoring, DC residual current protection device and temperature shut-off. This corresponds to the state of the art in the relevant international draft standard.
