The parent company of Hitech Rolling Balls Pvt. Ltd, Chetankumar & Brothers traces its beginnings to the year 1977. With Yogesh Shah at the helm, Chetankumar & Brothers introduced various brands like Nachi and IJK in 1978 for import and distribution.

The company was also indenters for Nachi till 1985 and introduced Jay Bearings in 1985. Continuing its growth spree, it started distribution of INA in 1990. Since 1993, Chetan Bearings Pvt. Ltd. (CBPL), erstwhile known as Chetan Kumar & Brothers, has grown multi-fold due to its ethical business practices to various industries in Maharashtra.CBPL is the leading authorized distributor for Schaeffler India Ltd. (FAG & INA) and ABB (Baldor & Dodge – Mechanical Transmission Products) in Pune. CBPL has a wide client base in various sectors.

The company continued to scale greater heights as the second generation of the family came to the forefront. Saurabh Shah, MBA in Finance, joined the group in 2013 and now heads the Trading Arm in the capacity of CEO. In 1994, Yogesh Shah identified an opportunity to diversify the business by entering into the manufacturing sector. He formed a new venture by the name of Hitech Rolling Balls Pvt. Ltd. (HRBPL), focused on driving growth through the opening of automotive sector.

The first plant was established in Pune for supply of auto ancillary products, such as needle cage bearings, needle bush, needle and cylindrical rollers, axial thrust washers, crank pins, etc. The second plant was started in 2005 in Mysore by acquiring the Needle Roller Bearing plant of Jay Bearings (commissioned with Koyo Japan Technology).

HRBPL is a 100% OEM supplier in India and exports to North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. The team became stronger as Rushabh Shah, MS in Engineering Management (USA) joined the group in 2011. He now heads both the plants in the capacity of Director. Yogesh Shah is the past president of All India Ball Bearing Merchants Association, past Chairman of Nagdevi Action Committee and is currently the Vice-president of Federation of Associations of Maharashtra.
