Linde India reports 26 percent increase in profit

Linde India Limited, a member of The Linde Group, announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended 30 September 2013, which were approved by the Company’s Board of Directors at its meeting held earlier today. For Q3 2013, the Company reported a gross turnover of Rs 3,455 million, a decrease of 6 percent as against Rs 3,671 million recorded in the same quarter last year.
The gases business recorded a growth of 10 percent, however the turnover of the engineering business net of inter-segment revenue was lower by 40 percent compared to same quarter last year due to slowdown in customer projects. In the quarter, the company’s overall EBITDA grew by 14 percent to Rs 645 million, due to full revenue from newly capitalized plants and cost efficiencies.
Profit before interest and exceptional items rose by 26 percent from Rs 258 million in Q3 2012 to Rs 324 million in the current quarter. Net profit for the quarter rose by 68% to Rs 99.9 million as against Rs 59 million in Q3 2012.
