LTA Lufttechnik GmbH works with a highly practical digital tool to optimize the planning and configuration of air filtration and extraction units. Using new simulation software, air purification specialist LTA is able to analyze the air flow and heat distribution in plants with the utmost speed, precision and flexibility even before they are built. The technology allows production outputs to be forecast and designs to be optimized in advance. The program entails the simulation and calculation of flow conditions, temperatures, pressures, speeds and volume flows.

Simulation performance in detail
Based on the analytical data from the simulation tool, all the components of the air filtration and extraction unit are configured precisely to fit the projected requirements. Collection points for the air to be purified are also optimized. Precise calculation of the actually required extraction volume, for instance the air exchange rate at the machine extraction point, allows optimum dimensioning and layout of the piping. A clearly arranged final report clearly illustrates the simulation results and supplies the relevant conclusions.
