KBL Showcased its Sodium Pump at the IndiaUK Tech Summit
Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), a leading fluid management company showcased its sodium pumpused in nuclear reactors at the India UK Tech Summit – 2016. The Tech Summit was envisaged during Prime MinisterNarendraModi’s visit to the U.K. in November last year to reinforce the friendship between India and the U.K. The event was organised at the Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi during 7th-9th November, 2016.
The event focused on bringing together the most exciting thought leaders, businesses, educational institutions and innovators to connect and explore the future of India-UK collaboration. Sodium pumps are majorly used infast-breeder nuclear reactors. KBL is the first Indian company to develop this critical application sodium pump. Since its inception in India, KBL has been associated with the country’s nuclear power development programme.
Currently, Kirloskar pumps play an integral role in all nuclear reactors in India. KBL uses indigenous technology for critical applications in sodium pumps. The technology offered by the company has been approved by several major global players.
