Q. Please brief us about company’s Indian & global infrastructure?
‘KUSAM-MECO’ has completed 30 years of its service to the Indian Industry. About 3 decades ago, Analog Measuring Instruments were used in the Industry. Digital Instruments were rare because of the cost & lack of information about the new technology used in Digital Instruments. ‘KUSAM-MECO’ made a breakthrough by sending engineers abroad for training in Digital Instruments. This led to the marketing of Digital Instruments in big way in India. As the demand grew, ‘KUSAM-MECO’ expanded its infrastructure to lead the market.

Q. Please also highlight the latest initiatives in your industry domain?
The industry is going through a bad patch in the economy. Due to an uncertain government in India, no new big projects were sanctioned & even the existing projects slowed down due to scarcity of funds. This led to a slow growth in the Test & Measuring Instruments Industry. Never the less, to keep ahead of the competition most of the players tried to introduce new products to cater to the requirements of the industries. R &D spending was slow.
Q. What are the market opportunities for your company’s products in India?
In the past few years ‘KUSAM-MECO’ has introduced many new products which have more advanced features & specifications. For e.g. ‘KUSAM-MECO’ introduced new Digital Clamp meters with special design clamps which can measure very low currents with high accuracies, LCR Meters with USB, AC/DC Clamp meters & Multimeters with VFD functions, 4 –wire Earth Resistance Testers, Laser Distance Meters, Wireless Connectivity True RMS Digital Multimeters, Flexible current probes, Gas detectors, High Temperature range Infrared Thermometers, Solar Power Meters, Multifunction & Power harmonics Analyzers, Temperature & Humidity transmitters etc. This has opened the doors to a vast opportunity for our company.

Q. What is future prospect for your industry?
Now that the elections are over & a stable government is expected at the center, “AB ACHHE DIN AANE WALE HAI”.
Q. Is there any plans for expansion & new investment in terms of product development or new technology adoption to cater the demand of the industry?
Yes, we have ambitious plans for expansion & new investment. In co-operation with our principals we hope to develop new products required by the industry using the latest technology so as to be able to provide better instruments to the industry and meet the new challenges of the market.

Our new top line product range will be Wireless Connectivity Digital Multimeters, Digital Insulation Multimeters, True RMS Digital Clamp Meters for measuring low + high current accurately, 15 KV High Voltage Resistance Testers, Multifuntion & Power harmonics Analyser, Online Infrared Temperature Transmitters.
