MEC is serving thermal spray requirements of almost every part of the world. A strong sales & marketing network with about 25 representatives in different territories throughout the world ensure uninterrupted timely deliveries of our products & services.

Q. What are the market opportunities for your company’s products in India? How do you plan to position these products?
MEC is pioneer in India as far as thermal spray technology is concerned. When MEC started thermal spray works 45 years ago, this subject was not very known in the indian market. Thenafter MEC educated industries & scope of coating started grown gradually. Now a days whether it be Metal spray coating, HVOF carbide hard surfacing or wear resistance plasma spray coating, thermal spray has several applications in multiple industries. With support of our government approoved inhouse R&D facilities we are continuously developing new applications & educating indian users about the same.
Q. What is your marketing strategy for India?
Thermal spray market in India is half push demand oriented & half pull demand oriented market. Industries where this coating is well known & applications are understood there it is pull demand oriented & industries where people are not aware about this coating they are using conventional coating processes like hard chrome plating, electroplating etc. are push demand oriented markets so basically we need to promote our products to them. Using today’s best electronic media we are able to get reach in each and every sector so far.
Q. Is there any plans for expansion & new investment in India to cater the demand of the industry?
In 1967 MEC started as a small reparing shop with one equipment only. With passage of time, demands
increased in the domestic market & gradually MEC started production of thermal spray equipments and now with hi-tech production facilities of all products for HVOF, Plasma spray, flame spray & Arc spray processes our unit is able to cater each & every demand in this field. So for us expansion is nothing but continuous development as per the requirements.
Q. What is the top line product range & Is there any plans to launch new products?
We manufacture thermal spray coating equipments which is our core industry & comes under field of surface engineering. As far as top line products are concerned these include – HVOF, Plasma spray, Wire arc spray, Flame spray coating equipments. Thermal spray auxiliaries – job rotator, gun manipulator, spray booth, dust collector, sound proof acoustic chamber etc. Surface preparation equipments – portable, cabinet & blast room. Robotic thermal spray turn key project. We use “complete solution provider for thermal spray” with our name so you can say we are one stop shop for these coating products.
