Schmersal Group expands in India with another subsidiary for IT & ES (Engineering Services)
The Schmersal Group, Germany offers its customers the largest range of safety switching appliances and systems worldwide for the protection of human life and machines. The Schmersal Group has a presence in India for almost a decade now through its fully owned subsidiary, Schmersal India Pvt Ltd. (SIPL) with a manufacturing plant at Ranjangaon MIDC, Pune, and EOU and R&D centre. Schmersal Group now has now added one more feather to its cap with its new subsidiary Schmersal Global Competence Center Pvt Ltd (SGCC). As part of our global strategy, the goal was to setup a competence centre in Pune, India for IT, and Engineering services. The overall goal of SGCC is to support IT and Engineering projects of The Schmersal Group globally.
SGCC started its operations from 1st Jan 2022 and Mr. Swapnil Kulkarni has been appointed as the Managing Director. Earlier, Mr. Swapnil Kulkarni was the Head of IT at Schmersal India Pvt Ltd.
At present, SGCC offers IT and Engineering services to the Schmersal Group globally. The IT services comprise of SAP, Infrastructure, Microsoft Technologies, and Custom Application Development. The Engineering Center takes care of firmware, embedded and IIoT technologies to propel the Schmersal Group into a Digital age.
SGCC an offshoot of Schmersal India Pvt Ltd. started with 2 people under SIPL in 2014 and currently has a team of 32 employees.
SGCC is poised for growth and expansion with aggressive hiring in 2022 with the primary focus on providing top notch service within the Schmersal Group with and end goal to enter the Global IT Services Market as an Industry Leader.
