Kuebler India Celebrates 10 Years in India with Inauguration of its New Plant
Kuebler Automation India Private Limited, a subsidiary of the Kuebler Group, marked the completion of a successful decade in India with the inauguration of its new plant in Chakan, Pune. The company which began its operations in India in 2007, today ranks among the leading companies in the automation business with solutions for Sensor Technology, Counting & Process Technology, Transmission Technology and Functional Safety across different industries.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr Gebhard Kuebler, Managing Director of the Kuebler Group, said “It’s been an incredible journey of 10 years. This was our first plant outside Germany and when we look back at the decision, we feel we made the right decision back then. Explaining the decision to set up the plant in India, Mr. Keubler said, “There was a strong demand for Kuebler products in the Indian market and going forward, it became obvious, that we should take the next step of starting our own subsidiary with a view to offer faster and more flexible delivery of products and even better support to our customers. The goal was not only to start a sales organization but a full-fledged production facility as we wanted to be the first overseas company to locally produce encoders in India. We achieved that, and to our knowledge, we have retained this position ever since. The team here found good partners, established supplier qualification team, nationwide sales and invested in high tech production lines. High flexibility, in-depth technical know-how and the highest quality production process have helped Kuebler India develop and establish itself as India’s leading provider of encoders – backed up by expert consultation and after-sales service. Today Kuebler India also exports a large part of its business to China and other Asian countries. Kuebler India never looked at a fast return on investment, but more in the long-term advantage for our customers, especially increasing support and service to our customers. The success of Kuebler India and secured jobs for the team members are a logical result of that”.

Talking about the future plans, Mr Lothar Kuebler, Managing Director of the Kuebler Group, said, “In the future production will definitely play an important role however we will try to enhance our engineering capabilities step by step as a part of our vision is to establish a strong R&D team in India acting both globally as well as locally. Kuebler India now employs around 50 employees with sales offices in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai and a strong dealer network across India. The Indian manufacturing site is one of the four global manufacturing locations of the Kuebler group. It has been delivering and maintaining the same stringent quality standards that are associated with Kuebler brand. Spread over an area of 20,000 sq. ft., it has produced more than 300,000 Encoders to date. In addition to this, it has an established application engineering team that helps customers identify and provide optimized cost-effective system solutions for their applications. It has a well-established service team to carry out repairs and services in the shortest possible and also provides support for its range of Fieldbus encoders.
