Q. Testo India has gain credible market share in measurement technology industry, how did Testo India managed this significant growth?
Testo India has been successfully catering to a wide array of Indian industries with its huge basket of products. Needless to mention, being German engineering, products offered are of high quality and standards-compliant. More so, we always believe in offering a complete solution rather than merely selling a product. Our qualified sales and application engineers work closely with the customers to understand their precise requirements and accordingly offer the right solution. And it doesn’t end there. We give after-sales support and calibration services too to support the customer life-long. We provide users quick assistance and reliable consultation for all questions pertaining to measuring technology. We win customer’s trust in the long run.
Q. How about Testo India’s initiatives in measurement technology space? Which are your focus areas?
Testo India endeavors to present to its customers latest technology in measurement engineering. It’s not just about advanced technology, but taking it to the masses and making sure it is the right fit for the industry. We also strive to increase awareness of our customers and demonstrate potential benefits of adopting the new measurement technology. There are a few products that have not yet become popular among Indian customers but look promising – like, a simple portable cooking oil tester for the food industry. Most are not even aware of such an existing technology and its benefits.
We have divided our products into four major groups:
- Portable Measuring Instruments for: Temperature, Humidity, Pressure, Air velocity, RPM, Sound and Light
- Portable Flue Gas Analyzers for Combustion and Emission Analysis
- Stationary Measuring Instruments such as Data Loggers, Transmitters for Humidity & Temperature, Differential pressure, Dew point of Compressed Air, Compressed Air Flow Meters and Wireless Data Monitoring System – Saveris
- Thermal Imagers for Predictive and Preventive Maintenance
While, we focus on three major categories of our target customers: Energy, Industry and Food & Pharma. We focus on providing right solutions to every industry.
Q. What are the market opportunities for Testo products in India? How do you plan to position these products?
Market potential for Testo products in India is huge. We have a product for every other industry. We cater to almost all industrial sectors, be it chemical, steel, power, automobile, research institutes & labs, food or pharma. We have accurate measuring instruments to enhance performance of product processes, maintenance, quality assurance, R & D, HVAC inspection, emission monitoring, engineering and many more fields.
As Indian industries are becoming more quality conscious, various quality and industry related norms are being set, we see a huge Indian market to foray. We have been working to provide industry-specific and application-specific measurement solutions. We offer not the product but its utility which varies from industry to industry. And that carves a niche for us.

Q. Can you brief us more about Testo India’s top line product range?
Testo has a very wide product range. Right from portable measuring instruments for temperature, humidity, pressure, air flow, rpm, light, sound and pH, we also have online measuring instruments like transmitters and data loggers for continuous process control. We also have dew point transmitter and compressed air flow meter for monitoring compressed air consumption which in turn serve as energy saving tools for our customers. While Testo Saveris is a wireless data monitoring system for humidity, temperature, pressure or any other parameter that customer needs has the capability of bringing about complete automation in parameters measurement. Testo’s Flue Gas Analyzer is an effective tool for emission monitoring and ensuring complete combustion of fuel, again ensuring saving of energy by monitoring efficiency of boilers, heating systems, etc. Thermal Imagers from Testo find an important role especially in predictive & preventive maintenance.
Q. What are the key technological trends that are driving measurement technology industry?
Simpler & reliable technology, easy to operate, convenient to use, robust, error-free and minimum human intervention are some of the key technology trends customers can look out for. Availability of software and other aids make analysis part of measurement simpler and error-free too.
Q. According to you what is the future for the measurement technology industry?
Industry, today, is more willing to invest in measurement technology as it is moving towards quality. It is now more focused on optimizing its processes effectively, using its resources and turning savings into profits. Hence, this industry is only to grow in coming years.
Q. What are the issues you need to address that are related to measurement technology industry?
I think, we need to further encourage the revolution of safer and more quality processes across different industry verticals. With the need of the hour, we should also promote energy conservation and with it, also the profits an industry can derive from it. After-all, with an array of such energy saving instruments, we responsibly consider ourselves custodians of energy conservation.
Q. What is your vision for Testo India for near future?
We would like to be the customer’s first choice for our entire range of test & measuring instruments. Reaching closer to the customer by expanding our presence through dealers and sales representatives at every corner of India is another set mark. We also would like to offer an exemplary service to our customers not only during sales but after the sales also. In the near future, testo looks forward to launch more new products in India and as compared to the economies of the other countries; Testo India looks forward to have a greater market share.
