The growing focus on the manufacturing sector in India demands greater automation and technology adoption. The government has already set a target to increase manufacturing’s share in the GDP from the current 16% to 25% by 2022, implying that manufacturing will grow from USD 150 billion now to USD 750 billion. The recently held Make-in-India week concluded with the commitment to achieving this vision of 25% contribution to GDP through manufacturing and attracting large investments in Gujarat. These vast opportunities underline the role that the co-located fairs can play in successfully connecting technology players to manufacturers and trade influencers from this vital region.

Apart from gaining first-hand experience on smart, safe and sustainable automation solutions, manufacturing professionals can meet technology experts at the knowledge seminar scheduled alongside the show on 8th April. One of the challenges across industries is integration of various automation platforms in an existing manufacturing environment. The SPS Automation Seminar focused on applications for manufacturing competitiveness will take this up through important subjects aiming at economical automation solutions for SMEs to sector-wise automation applications for pharma, FMCG, F&B manufacturing, power sector and oil and gas refinery to creating a connected enterprise for making plant automation intelligent.

Jointly organised by Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India Pvt Ltd with German companies Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH and P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG, the fairs will open doors in Ahmedabad on 7 April 2016.
