Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton announced the successful completion of the second batch of “Garnishing Talent” at the program’s valedictory function hosted at Cummins College of Engineering for Women. Launched by Eaton and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Garnishing Talent is a two-month program aimed at enhancing employability of women engineering students.

During the last two years, Garnishing Talent has been providing a solid platform to women engineering students from vernacular, semi-vernacular and rural backgrounds to acquire appropriate soft and social skills that are critical to achieve individual and professional success. This year, 75 students from various disciplines, namely mechanical, instrumentation, information technology and electronics & telecommunications were identified through a defined assessment process and were inducted into the program.

Commenting on the successful completion of a yet another season of Garnishing Talent, Nitin Chalke – managing director, India, Eaton said, “Garnishing Talent has been a unique opportunity for us to contribute our time, resources and skills. This is a cause that Eaton believes in because it is so significant to building a diverse, confident, industry-ready talent pool. It is encouraging to see the program maturing into what we had envisioned.”

In addition to sponsoring the program for the second consecutive year, Eaton also extended significant volunteering time towards designing the training curriculum. Besides, 20 experienced Eaton employees over the period of last two months volunteered for conducting training sessions as part of the program.
