PLASTINDIA, the international flagship show of the Indian plastics industry gears up to create new milestones by taking the 9th edition of the mega trade show PLASTINDIA 2015, now to a new and modern venue.

Gandhinagar, the state capital of Gujarat, will host PLASTINDIA2015 from Feb 5-10, 2015 at a well-designed Modern Exhibition Venue with a “State- of- the- Art” convention Center, Mahatma Mandir. The massive and futuristic 125,000 sqm venue will bring under one roof 2000 exhibitors from 40 countries, including the world’s and India’s leading innovators in Plastics. Over 150,000 visitors are expected to congregate at PLASTINDIA 2015.

Shri. J.R.Shah, Chairman, National Executive Council, PLASTINDIA 2015 said, “PLASTINDIA 2015 will bring global attention to the new venue as an exhibition ground created and developed as per international standards. We will facilitate the exhibitors and visitors with top quality exhibition infrastructure, accommodation, transportation and connectivity facilities, with the support of the Government of Gujarat. PLASTINDIA 2015 will benefit from the preceding major events at the venue–Pravasi Bhartiya Divas and Vibrant Gujarat Global Investor Summit 2015 – and the infrastructure and secondary facilities that are being created for these events will be useful for PLASTINDIA 2015, as well”.

The six-day mega event, PLASTINDIA 2015 will reveal the cutting edge technological developments, equipments and products. PLASTINDIA 2015 takes further the innovations from the earlier version, in that; it will concurrently host PROPLAST 2015 and an International Conference to draw the attention of the entire business fraternity. Eminent academicians, consultants, professionals, technocrats, research scientists and industry experts will participate and share their views during various seminars.

The venue holds immense strategic significance with more than 60% of India’s plastics industry being located in the State of Gujarat and the State is a base for some of the biggest players from this sector.

At a time when the industry stands on the verge of a grand, growth story, PLASTINDIA 2015 is all geared up to provide that much required push. Between 2013 and 2020, plastics consumption in India is set to increase from 12 MMTA to 20 MMTA; exports will rise from US$ 6 billion to US$ 8 billion as well as direct and indirect employment will grow from 1.2 million to 2 million.
