L&T’s Sustainability Programme Showcased at Paris Climate Conference

L&T’s case study on energy and climate change was selected by the Government of India – Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, for showcasing at the India Pavilion as ‘Energy Efficiency & Climate Leaders’ at 2015 Paris Climate Conference (COP 21).

At the India Pavilion, the case study showcased L&T’s efforts towards energy conservation & climate change mitigation.

The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) 2015 has rated L&T as one of the top performers in climate change mitigation from India.

Global companies carbon emissions are accessed by CDP based on directives by the institutional investors who represent US$95 trillion in assets. A high level of transparency in greenhouse gas related disclosures along with mitigation measures provide investors the opportunity to assess corporate accountability and their preparedness for changing market demands and regulations on emissions.
